The funk club Interview

By Interviewer at 12/11/08 11:47

Australian Capital Terrority, art prints: evening Name of your website?

The funk club

Your name?

Kellyanne

Your Location (city, etc)

Scarborough

Please give us a short summary of your website?

Original artistic designs, framed or unframed

What inspired you to launch your own website?

I am an artist, and believe that this is my destiny to keep dreaming and keep creating for the world to enjoy

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

This year recently, and it is the current blog that i have now

How did you decide on a name for your website?

Through a painting i did titled the funk club

What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?

its unique

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

To expand into print designs on Tshirts, coffee cups, lanterns, manchester, plates, ipod covers, coffee cups and cushions

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

At this stage i am just starting out, success is yet to come but there is a great deal of hours and hard work invested into making this dream come true. An artist will work longer hours than an average nine to five job.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

I could expand into further artistic avenues, i could hire friends and family who all have creative abilities and offer them a job of a lifetime.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

I would have to start employing staff to help with the demand.

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

Products for framing, running out of paints, making sure that prints are crystal clear and that the resolution is high creating beautiful glossy prints, there is a lot of hard work in creating a design and then working on digital enhancment to create good prints from your own computer at home.

What has been your biggest challenge?

Trying to generate an income i can comfortably afford to live on and to support my family, so that this seems worthwhile.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

passing the email onto friends and working at the local markets.

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

I feel that once i generate enough exposure then i can see how successful it will be

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

I have only had this up and running for approx 1 - 2 months and i would continue to use this as it can be updated to whatever i am currently doing.

Replace this with a question of your own

All dreams are possible how are you going to help me make it happen?

What is your website address?

The funk club
