Name of your website?

Robert Gorlook's Inner Eye Gallery

Your name?

Robert Gorlook

Your Location (city, etc)

Winnipeg

Please give us a short summary of your website?

A complete look at the works of Robert Gorlook along with a showing of new available pieces.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

To use the internet for what it does best, to let the world know your work.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

2 years ago and it was not nearly as organizied as it is now

How did you decide on a name for your website?

It just came to me as a name that would reflect the way I see my work at the start of the creation process.

What makes it different from other, similar offerings?

All art is unique.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

To be a self sufficient artist who lives mainly on commissioned work

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

Time has more value in this work than the outlay of expenses. Patience is also time that is required for the income. So time creates the income and balance is then hopefully achieved at a later period in the process.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

I would do more shockwave and flash in the site to present the work in a more personal fashion. Like framing the art the way your want it seen.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

I can only wish I have that issue to deal with. And yes there is always a creative way to keep your customers happy.

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

None really things have been going very smoothly

What has been your biggest challenge?

Keeping enough pieces in inventory to physically show to people

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Google/Searh engine standings.

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

A little more time than originally expected.

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

A site once up is not very costly, so indefinately.

Who do you admire the the world of sculpture?

Well in my small area of in Canada. The Inuit artists show something very alive in the energetic and spiritual world they exist in. George Arlook and Abraham Anghik Rubens art for example
