Beading patterns & kits of designs created by Dragon. Downloadable e-patterns available.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

We live on 40 acres in the mountains, and the internet was the perfect way to sell our products.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

This website, 1998.

How did you decide on a name for your website?

It was the name of our business before it was the name of our website.

What makes it different from other, similar offerings?

LOL, our name speaks for itself, we have very unique designs.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

This is our main income, so I think we will keep it, and just keep expanding.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

We have 3 computers, and three employee's. All of us have our specialties in what we do for the business.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

LOL, our designer can only create new designs only so fast.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

We would sure give it a whirl!

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

Computer problems, and mostly printer issues. (Haven't had that happen in a while though. Knock on wood!).

What has been your biggest challenge?

E-patterns were a challenge to write.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Word of mouth, and we've had several patterns in Bead & Button Magazine, and Fire Mountain Gems uses our finished pieces for their backdrop on their ads on th back of magazines.

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

It hasn't, we do everything ourselves, so we control how the website runs and operates.

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

For 9 years, and we'll keep doing it as long as people keep buying our product.
