As a moderate music enthusiast, I don't really have a genre that I give particular bias to. I can appreciate almost all kinds of music--probably except the various kinds of hard metal--as long as they fit my current mood. Sometimes I go for classical, quiet music while I am trying to concentrate on reading. Sometimes, when I'm feeling down, I would rather go for upbeat music that can help me dance my groove.
One such song that hit a good note in my book is Beyonce's "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)". I mean, come on, who can say that he/she has already heard the song but didn't like it? Some people say that "Single Ladies" is the first real dance hit of the new millennium. Having won multiple prestigious awards, including the Grammy for the Best Song of the Year, I'm not really surprised.
It has created a number of spoofs, made itself featured in various shows (like Glee, for instance), and even attracted Justin Timberlake to show up in a leotard and make a spoof of the song's music video. Kanye West himself felt so strongly for the song that he stood up for it and embarrassed Taylor Swift when the latter's song "Love Story" got the Best Female Music Video Award during the last MTV Video Music Awards.
Anyway, I'm deviating from the point. What I only wanted to say is that I'm sure that the song has had a lot of fans. The music video has had a lot of imitators. And I am sure that a lot of people out there would like to copy Beyonce's look in the music video even for just a short time.
Well your wish is granted. I found here a video showing you an amateur guide on how you could possibly make-up yourself to look like Beyonce in the "Single Ladies" video. It's pretty intuitive and graphic, since the instructor herself made the tips herself. Check it out here. If you can see, the make-up is a bit thick on the eyes, but that's how it's supposed to look in the first place.
Just follow the instructions and, there, you'll already look like Beyonce!
