A Face Paint Recipe

08/17/09 06:24

Sporting events are exciting, no doubt, and are probably one of the most anticipated events every year by the student population. It's during that time--the regular season--when the school's best athletes slug it out against fellow athletes in rival institutions. I've been a witness to this type of competition for so long now. I should know.

If your kids aren't your school's athletes, what's the list that they can do for your school? Cheer their lungs out, of course! The best thing that they can do for the school's athletes is to give them the moral boost that they will need in order to win the games.

It is also during these times when fans come out with a lot of gimmicks to show their support for their favorite sporting teams. One of the more popular methods is through the use of facepaints. Oh yeah, you know what I mean--those fierce-looking facepaints containing the capital letters of the team, the school colors, logo, or a combination of those things and some more. Do you know how to make your own facepaint mix?

Well, it's doesn't take too much effort. What you will need for this project are the following:

  • 1 tsp. cornstarch
  • 1/2 tsp. cold cream
  • 1/2 tsp. water
  • food coloring (your choice of color)

In simple terms, all you have to do is to mix these ingredients until you get your desired texture for your face paint. Store them in a sealed container until they are ready for use. To remove the paint, just use soap and water.

Come to think of it, they're just not good for sporting events. They also make a good business idea for children's birthday parties or any other kind of party in general. Now that is an additional source of income for you!
