Into the Woods Retreat, LLC is a women's getaway retreat. We specialize in providing a relaxing weekend away for women to unwind from the everyday stresses of their lives. We have a 1200 square foot crafting room where they can complete their scrapbooking, stamping, quilting, or other crafting projects.
What inspired you to launch your own business?
We have all been scrapbooking for years. As we have gotten busier with our lives and time for this extra, but important, hobby has grown short, we now realize the importance of getting away for uninterrupted time to complete these projects.
How did you decide on a name for your business?
We are located on 10 beautifully wooded acres. As we were brainstorming on a name for our business, Mercedes thought of Into the Woods and it just stuck with us. Everyone who has seen the property thinks it is a great name.
What makes your business different from other, similar offerings?
We will have a separate bathroom for each of our rooms which will be attached to the bedroom. Also, we will have on site spa services and a massage therapist to help aide in each woman's individual relaxation. Additionally, the view and atmosphere at our location is unmatched. From the view as you are approaching the home, to the gorgeous river view as you look out the back balcony, you will feel completely removed from all stresses in your life.
What is your eventual goal?
Our eventual goal is to be able to be open every weekend and continue to help women relax and get away from it all while preserving their memories. Currently, we are open 26 weekends a year, while opening up during the weekend for rentals/day events.
