Please give us a short summary of your website?

Old Time, High Quality Crafted Gifts for any occasion.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

God, my family and friends. I finally found what makes me truely happy and it comes very easily for me. People always say, do what you love and love what you do...so I found my little place in this world making beautiful homemade gifts.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

In the Spring of 07'I launched this website.

How did you decide on a name for your website?

It encompasses exactually what I want to produce in all my products. Old, being the way things used to look and feel before corporate business starting mass porducing items with little or no attention to detail.

What makes it different from other, similar offerings?

I started my home based business in the spring of 2007. I produce high quality, old fashioned homemade products such as our famous goats milk or shea butter soap bar, speciality soaps such as our submerged loofah or ducks in a pond . The creamy lead free soy candles, coconut lime soy candle in a half coconut shell, mason style cookies in-a-jar, gourmet candy apples & pretzel rods, shea butter lotion, heavy cream hair conditioner, ultra concentrated bubble bath and hand painted gingerbread ornaments. Everything I produce is made by hand with love and attention to detail. I want you to be proud to give your loved one an Old Country gift or treat yourself to something extra special.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

To own a small store locally, raise my children always find joy in everything I do in life.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

It's a great hobby right now for me with some monetary benefits. Right now I have the best of both worlds being at home with my three children and making things that I love with my hands.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

I would never want to change anything about my product, but I would have to say an unlimited amount of money going into my development right now would allow me to dedicate more time to producing new additional products. More proficient marketing via Internet or locally would assist in the growth of my developing company in a positive manner.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

Yes, my business has the ability and desire to go forward in a huge way.

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

Sometimes dealing with wholesale companies when obtaining certain products needed to make Old Country items, is less than desirable when it comes to quality, time and attention to detail as I would expect.

What has been your biggest challenge?

Receiving proper marketing of my product to move forward.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Right now, it would be friends, family and good old word of mouth.

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

N/A It has not differed from my expectations.

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

Since spring of 2007 and it will be ongoing.

How do I get in touch with you?
