Take the time to convert your picture to black and white the right way

If you have a nice digital picture and you want to convert it to black and white, don't be tempted too quickly to convert it simply by switching from color to grayscale.

The picture will likely end up flat, since most of the various tones within the phot will be stripped away.

A good conversion is easy using image-editting software. If the photos are important, take the extra time and use the right method.
