A gallery of unique and artful gifts made by Lori Selby. Your gift can be made as a reproduction of anything on this site, or you may choose to special order a creation of your own. Wire wrapped jewelry, hand dug and had carved garnets, pine needle baskets, traditional quilts, paintings of pets, paintings of your favorite diner or place, beaded jewelry.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

It started out as an archive for things I have made and sold

3 years ago, same name but quite amaturish

How did you decide on a name for your website?

Based on a short story I wrote about my past

What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?

Its origins from my desire to connect with others through art

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

Well I love to make the gifts, they are worth the cost to those who buy them

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

not sure,still new, but would also like to develop some craft tools like thimbles and puzzle aides.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

have all the time to do so!

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

learning how to make a web site but I loved the challenge

What has been your biggest challenge?

being new to selling, difficult to learn all the avenues

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

word of mouth, keywords, now will try linking

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

Have met so many really cool people and have been part of making gifts for them

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

about 3 years, averaged over 5000 hits last month globablly through keyword searches, indefinately
