Due to their abundance during this time of the year, pumpkins have made their way to become one of the most famous symbols associated with Halloween. They are widely used for decorations, such as the symbolic jack-o-lantern, and as food. Pumpkin pies and soups are just among the favorite treats made out of this fruit.
Given this, I am pretty sure that we can still extend the extend the versatility of the pumpkin and come out with even better Halloweenn ideas. First, of course, is to have other designs carved unto the pumpkin. I think I've seen a number of design patterns in the Web such as these ones.
There were female faces, even shaded patterns. It would take you quite a while to create all of these designs. Heck, they might even last you until the next Halloween!
Another option is to decorate the pumpkin. Pumpkins have large surface areas, making them very good medium on which you can paint designs. For instance, I've seen one design before that had the pumpkin painted to look like an apple, complete with a Gummy Worm sticking out of it to make it look more iconic. This one even had a Homer Simpson pumpkin! The ideas are endless. Just try to be creative and utilize the large surface area to your advantage.
Or if you are tired of decorating, then just grab the pumpkins and start playing. One very easy pumpkin-inspired that you can try out are musical pumpkins. In this game, all that you have to is to play some music while the participants pass around a giant pumpkin. When the music stops, the person holding the pumpkin is out, then play the music once more and pass the pumpkin again. The game ends when there's only one person left, who eventually becomes the winner.
Now those are only three options that you can try out with your pumpkin harvest. If you have any more ideas about what to do with these big orange fruits, then please do drop us a comment.
