I just love using the paper punches for scrapbooking and other crafts. I like to take glittery paper and punch out the little shapes to decorate christmas ornaments and cards. But, I found out that kids crafts and these hole punches do not mix.I had told my sister a while back that I would babysit her daughter for a while. She is five years old so I figured that she would be old enough to decorate some ornaments for their christmas tree. I had all of the supplies out and ready for her when she got there.
She just loved all the little stickers and sequins I had and decorated about 10 ornaments. She had done fine up until then so I went in the kitchen to make lunch and told her to draw out her next design with crayons.
I came back in about five minutes later and she had wasted no time taking my little hand punches, picking up the pictures I had there of her and her mommy and daddy and her, and punched out little circle eyes, mouths, and noses on each person!
Her eyes were as big as saucers when I came back in the room and saw what she had done. I just couldn't be mad at her though. She was so cute. Moral of the story though, don't leave a five year old with a hole punch!
