Name of your website?

Native Art Traders

Your name?

Eliot Waldman

Your Location (city, etc)

Skokie

When did you start your website and why?

I started my website a few years ago because I have such of love of the Inuit people and their art. I have visited and stayed with Inuit art carvers in their homes and they have stayed in mine as well.

Please give us a short summary of your website, business model, etc

My website is the largest private Inuit art gallery in the Northern Chicago area. I use the site to promote my gallery and to share new sculptures, paintings, and other pieces of art as I acquire them.

What has been the most difficult part of creating and running your website?

The most difficult part of creating and running a website is keeping the costs down as I am not the most technically literate person around. It's a challenge.

What has been the easist part of operating your website?

The easiest part of operating my website is it gives me a chance to share my knowledge of the Inuit/Eskimo art world.

Who maintains your website and why?

I have recently changed web designers. I have found a pretty decent one who keeps me in the loop at all times.

Tell us how your business has benefitted from your website?

So far the business has benefitted only marginally as I've just started to promote it.

What are your views on Search Engine Optimization (SEO)?

Don't know much about it.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Time will tell. Right now I'm trying everything I can to promote it. It's all a bit new to me at the moment.

What is your website address?
