Arizona, Scrapbooking Rubber Stamping: Mercedes & Duana

Name of your website?

Crop-A-Roo

Your name?

Duana Foster & Mercedes Person

Your Location (city, etc)

Peoria, AZ

Please give us a short summary of your website?

Our website is for all Paper Crafting enthusiast to go and book a weekend retreat! They will feel spoiled in our choice of Upscale Full Service hotels offering all inclusive packages, spa services, class varieties, vendor shopping and more. Re"treat" yourself in style!

What inspired you to launch your own website?

Our love for Paper Crafting and being together with our girlfriends. This is a way to share what we love all over the US with others that share the same passion.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

This is our first website, we are new and are up and running at full speed!

How did you decide on a name for your website?

We wanted something cute, catchy and something we could tie a mascot to. We are "hopping" from state to state with our retreats so it just seemed to fit!

What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?

We plan our retreats only at Full Service Hotels. We have several retreat packages to choose from. We offer ALL Inclusive Packages, a 6 foot table to each guest to call their own for their whole stay and have access to 24 hours. We hand pick all of are teachers/classes for our retreats to insure quality projects. Our hotels offer Spa Treatments and more. We are proud to offer the best of the best. Upscale hotels, upscale service.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

Our goal is to lead the market & have retreats year round in all regions of the US and Canada. We also are planning a future product line.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

Again, we are a new company and are planning a successful first year.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

We could get things moving more quickly. We would go full force with our product line, expanding our business in a new direction.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

Yes, we have several "helpers" that would love to dive in full time.

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

I think the small things here and there catch you off guard. Just making sure we are organized and are all on the same page.

What has been your biggest challenge?

Our biggest challenge being new has been shopping for the right destination to have our retreats & getting contacts in that area.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Networking through the internet

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

Very time consuming.

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

We have been working on our website since November 08. Our plan is to keep it up indefinitely. If what we are doing now doesn't work, we will rethink things and try another avenue.

What do you like most about doing what you are doing?

Working with each other(we're sisters)and building relationships with other women all over country that share our same love for Scrapbooking, Rubber Stamping, & Paper Crafting.

What is your website address?

Crop-A-Roo
