Hi Marian!
Isn't it frustrating when youcan't find something that you love. You put it away somewhere in storage thinking you will remember where it is when the time comes, but then...ooops.
I found a beaded snowflake pattern online that you may like. I actually have tried this pattern and it makes a beautiful little snowflake. I have given them as gifts and everyone oves them. I have also used them to decorate my Christmas tree and adorn holiday tables.
I don't know if this is similar to the pattern you once had, but it is a nice one. Once you click on the link I put here, just click on next under the list of materials needed to make the beaded snowflakes. It is pretty simple to follow, so good luck with that.
Now, for the other half of your question regarding the macrame snowflake, I did not have a pattern for that item that I have used so I went looking for you. I found a free pattern online on a neat website that has ots of free patterns and instructions for people wanting to start macrame projects.
This project was listed under macrame for kids and says it is simple and makes a great charity project that kids can make. There is a circle in the center that is designed to hold an adornment like a flower or something of that nature.
This pattern for a macrame snowflake only uses four knots and is great for beginners. So, even if it is way too simple for your taste, you can use it to teach a beginner so they love to make crafts as much as you do!
Have fun!
