deltacpottery Interview

By Interviewer at 06/17/08 17:17

Name of your website?

deltacpottery

Your name?

Carol Graves

Your Location (city, etc)

Belzoni

Please give us a short summary of your website?

I use my website to show our work..Each new firing I take pictures to show what's new..Alot of our pieces are one of a kind because they are handmade, some we can make very close to the same, but I tell my customers no two pieces are exectly the same.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

To be able to show our work to customers from out of town.

How did you decide on a name for your website?

I live in Belzoni which is known as the heart of the Delta. I decided to use the delta symble with a C inside as our marking on our pottery. The C stands for Cecil and Carol thus Delta C Pottery was named..

What made you start doing pottery?

I use to go to McCartys and said when I retire from teaching this is what I want to do..I finally retired, took a course at MS Delta, and loved it . I brought home a video on throwing one day and showed it to Cecil, he went to the wheel and just started making bowls without one lesson..He loves working in the clay too..Thus we decided to buy a building and tools we needed. We have been working in clay for about three years and we enjoy it for many many more...

What is your website address?
