Your name?

Kim

Your Location (city, etc)

Arlington, MN

Please give us a short summary of your website?

AGI Women of Today is a non profit group that supports women and children activities in our community. We hold 2 scrapbook fundraisers each year, one in the spring and one in the fall and we get approximately 75 guests.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

Connectivity. It's a place for our non profit to store information about our meetings and events and to get the public to know more about us and what we offer.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

2008, it was for our non profit organization

How did you decide on a name for your website?

Freewebs was a free site for us, then we just added our nonprofit's group name

What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?

Not a lot of local businesses have websites, so we bring our community into the new world.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

Growth of our events and group would be our goal.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

Growth of our events and group balanced against time and money.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

we would go away from a free website.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

yes, we don't sell anything, we just offer free community events.

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

none

What has been your biggest challenge?

time to start up the website

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

email and asking people to forward with friends

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

not sure

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

the site has been up for almost a year and we will continue for as long as we can

What is your website address?
