When did you first decide to make a scrapbook and why?
I decided to make a scrapbook in the year 2001. If you remember way back - we used to make "baby book record" for the kids? Well I had 5 kids and only one album!! So instead of trying to fill a book with questions I made my own! I created a scrapbook for each child - dedicated to their childhood - after that I was hooked!
What was the subject of your favorite scrapbook project and what made it so special?
I created a page of two of my girls horseback riding. We are city folk so this was a special adventure for us!
How did you learn what to do?
I read alot and I love to try new things. I create as I go along.
Did you order your supplies or embellishments online or go shopping for them in stores? Which stores?
I used to go to stores and shop on-line but now I just take them from my own store!!
What are some of your favorite embellishment ideas (either that you thought up or someone else did)?
I love all paper flowers!!
Do you prefer regular scrapbooks or digital scrapbooks and why?
I prefer regular scrapbooks because I love to be able to sit and watch people touch and interact with my pages!
What are some of your favorite reasons for making scrapbooks?
I love the idea of leaving these books for the next generation. I love watching family faces as they read about themselves. But best of all it's a real easy way for me to tell these people how I feel!!
Do you use sheet protectors in your scrapbooks and why or why not?
I don't like sheet protectors because then the reader can't interact with my pages.
Do you work on your scrapbooks alone or with family or friends?
Sometimes with family, sometimes with friends but my favourite is alone!
Do you feel that scrapbooking with your children is beneficial and why?
I love to work with my children scrapbooking. I buy them their own little albums and they scrap away!! I teach them whenever they require it but I mostly allow them to do it their way! No rules! I plan on saving these albums and letting them have them when they are older!
What do you feel is the worst waste of time in scrapbooking?
Nothing is every a waste of time in scrapbooking!!
How would you make someone's experience easier if they were starting from scratch?
I would tell them to just DO it! No rules - just have fun but journal from the heart. Thats important.
