When did you first decide to make a scrapbook and why?
I have been scrapbooking for about 6 years. I started out by selling rubber stamps and found the love of Scrapbooking! Now I would like to share this with everyone else by hosting retreats in my home.
What was the subject of your favorite scrapbook project and what made it so special?
I am in the process of completeing my daughters wedding album. It is a slow process because I want to show everything. Narrowing down things is very hard.
How did you learn what to do?
I learned from friends and from going to retreats. You learn a lot from others and being able to share is so much fun!
Did you order your supplies or embellishments online or go shopping for them in stores? Which stores?
I order them from home party's, stores and also on line. Where ever I can get the best deals.
What are some of your favorite embellishment ideas (either that you thought up or someone else did)?
I love using the Eyelets. I'm still finding out all of the fun things you can do with them.
Do you prefer regular scrapbooks or digital scrapbooks and why?
I haven't gotten into the digital scrapbooks yet. I like the hands on.
What is the biggest mistake you have made while making your scrapbook that you could share
The biggest mistake I have made is putting the wrong years and dates. I just hate that! But a journaling box covers that nicely
What are five drawbacks to scrapbooking, whether finding the supplies, ideas, etc.?
Drawbacks are there any?
What are some of your favorite reasons for making scrapbooks?
Handing them down to my kids. The pictures are also looked at more often then just sitting in a drawer.
What are some of your favorite scrapbooking tools (edgers, punches, etc) and what is your favorite tip for that tool?
All of them!
Describe the most creative design layout you have used?
I love using punches and stamps that go together.
Do you use sheet protectors in your scrapbooks and why or why not?
YES! I don't want anything to spill on them or finger smudges.
Do you work on your scrapbooks alone or with family or friends?
Usually at retreats like the one I'm opening up in Iowa.
Do you feel that scrapbooking with your children is beneficial and why?
I have a daughter in law that likes to scrap. We get to talk and learn more about each other.
What do you feel is the worst waste of time in scrapbooking?
cropping pictures but it must be done.
How would you make someone's experience easier if they were starting from scratch?
Don't get overwelmed by all of the pictures. Pick out a few you like and start there.
Do you have a favorite method of attaching your photos to the pages?
no any type of adhesive works for me.
