Give us a short summary of your website?
We offer "Pampered" scrapbooking and craft weekend retreats and are located in the Seattle area. We are approximately 20 miles from downtown Seattle and hope to cater mostly to those who don't want to drive out of town for a retreat.
What makes it different from other, similar offerings?
The fact that it's closer to town and you don't have to drive as far to be pampered for the weekend. Also, the fact it will be a full service retreat. The weekend includes all meals, drinks, snacks, very comfortable bedding, with a separate bed for each person, luxurious towels and bath amenities. The retreat has central air conditioning, a spa and swimming pool.
Why did you decide to open a retreat?
I was tired of commuting to a "conventional" job each day, had been involved in crafts in one way or another since I was 6 years old and always wanted to do more of it. I hosted a weekend for several friends and decided it was the perfect fit for me. Plus there aren't many retreats in our area. In addition, when me and my friends scheduled one every six months to a year, our favorite place was booked and we didn't want to go thru the hassle of bringing our own food and other amenities that the location may not offer.
