What inspired you to launch your own website?

I have two small children and I love working from home. I also enjoy scrapbooking, so I am combining all my loves!

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

August 2007, Coconut ScrapShop~

How did you decide on a name for your website?

I wanted to create a website where relaxation was a priority! ALOHA!! I live in Florida, and love the Coconut Palm Trees. Why not create a site that combines it all??? Where Aloha meets Creativity!

What makes it different from other, similar offerings?

I coordinate scrapbooking kits so Scrapbookers only have to buy the kit, and not worry about how everything will match or what else they need to buy. I also don't just sell ALL the scrapbooking products. I have chose the essential, favorite scrapbooking products to help scrapbookers make the most of their time and their creative projects.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

Keep it for income so I can work from home and spend time with my adorable children!

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

Nothing is balanced yet! I just keep praying & give the site my everything!

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

Big, internet Ads!

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

YES! I'm so excited! I have a team standing by to work, a wharehouse empty and ready to fill!

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

Becoming a web designer from a Licensed Clinical Social Worker is a challenge! I'm a people person, and it is difficult to sit so much on the computer~

What has been your biggest challenge?

Getting the word out!

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Hiring Dream It Web Design!

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

I did not think it would take this much patience. *sigh*

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

As long as I can and have time for it~ I don't want to sit on the computer all day.....

Why Scrapbooking?

I love being able to capture my moments with my friends and family that will last for many years.

What is your website address?
