This year, when I couldn't think of anything else to give someone as a gift because they have everything.
What was the subject of your favorite scrapbook project and what made it so special?
My favorite scrapbook was one that I made for my daughter's graduation. It was special not only because of the event, but because it was one of the only times when all of our scattered family were here together.
How did you learn what to do?
I looked for websites that had scrapbooking ideas with sample layouts and kewl ideas.
Did you order your supplies or embellishments online or go shopping for them in stores? Which stores?
I did both. I ordered some basic stuff like background paper, picture corners, paper edgers and Sharpie markers online. Then I just happened to be in some stores in the area that carried scrapbooking stuff and I couldn't keep my hands off. I got fabric, vellum paper, ribbon, sparkly glue, and stickers and on and on and on.
What are some of your favorite embellishment ideas (either that you thought up or someone else did)?
I like the little tags that you can make especially with the fancy edges. I also like the handmade vellum pockets that you can put like announcements and stuff in.
Do you prefer regular scrapbooks or digital scrapbooks and why?
I think regular scrapbooks are much more fun cause they are touchy feely and not just like looking at somebody's textbook that they made up/
What is the biggest mistake you have made while making your scrapbook that you could share
Well, when you are making a family scrapbook, you oughtta make sure you include ALL the family members cause it is really embarassing when that person is left out and they notice it before you do.
What are five drawbacks to scrapbooking, whether finding the supplies, ideas, etc.?
I think the worst thing is the time factor. It takes some time to make a real kewl scrapbook and I don't always have that much available.

Yes I use sheet protectors because it keeps all the embellishments on the pages
Do you work on your scrapbooks alone or with family or friends?
The more the merrier I say
Do you feel that scrapbooking with your children is beneficial and why?
Yes I do because it makes the scrapbooks way more special when they help. They can look back later and be proud that they helped to create them.
What do you feel is the worst waste of time in scrapbooking?
Deciding you wished you had done something completely different
How would you make someone's experience easier if they were starting from scratch?
Get lot's of neat ideas from websites and interviews BEFORE you start or you will have the "I wish I had done thats"
Do you have a favorite method of attaching your photos to the pages?
I usually use the Tombow adhesives and their refills (lots of refills) or the 3M photo and document tape. The Tombow product is repositional if you buy the temporary kind and not the permanent (they make both so be careful)
