Name of your website?

MyScrapbookWorld.com

Your name?

Nicole Miller

Your Location (city, etc)

Wentzville

Please give us a short summary of your website?

MyScrapWorld.com is an online networking community similar to MySpace.com. Upload your pictures and videos, post your own blog from your own web page, join in our discussion forum and networking with other scrapbookers, MyScrapWorld is the newest website for scrapbookers around the world.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

I am an avid scrapbooker. There are plenty of forums out there that have blogs, but nothing like MyScrapWorld.com.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

The site was officially launched on March 20, 2008. It is an online networking community for scrapbooking.

How did you decide on a name for your website?

I tried to find an all inclusive name that would represent the site in the best light.

What makes it different from other, similar offerings?

MyScrapWorld.com offers a great networking opportunity. It also offers the ability for each member to essentially have their own web page. Complete with a blog, picture, video and music upload capability. Also the option to customize the appearance of their page.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

My eventual goal is to keep it for a small source of income, but more as a resource and go to for ideas for myself.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

So far, so good. It's something I enjoy doing, so the time isn't such a big deal.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

I would add different forum software and a completely custom e-commerce setion.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

Yeah, there's not a ton of maintenance required. It's more member driven than anything. And if push came to shove, I'd just stay up later.

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

None so far.

What has been your biggest challenge?

Trying to get members. When you're an established website, advertising & marketing is easy. When you're new, you have to give them a reason to come to your new website. Then you have to give them a reason to use it and come back.

What is your website address?
