utah scrapaway Interview
Name of your website?

scrapaway

Your name?

Marci Gehrett

Your Location (city, etc)

Heber City

Please give us a short summary of your website?

Pictures, testimonials, yearly schedule for availability, info on accommodations, reservations, policies, PayPal.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

The website came with the business when I bought it 3 years ago, however it has recently been updated.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

See previous answer

How did you decide on a name for your website?

Bought the business and the name, but it is a great one because you will be going away on a great scrapping retreat.

What makes it different from other, similar offerings?

Mine is the original scrapbooking retreat in Utah and was the only one until recently. However, I have the most awesome site, killer food and "funnest" groups. I have groups that come from (besides Utah) Idaho, Colorado, Arizona and California.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

The company provides me with income but it is a great business to be able to provide a great relaxing getaway experience for these fun scrapbooking crazy ladies.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

Very well, thanks.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

Maybe buy my own cabin as I currently rent. More marketing and get into more conventions, but I do have a limited amount of open weeks per year.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

No, see previous answer.

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

Nothing unexpected.

What has been your biggest challenge?

Crazy cabin owners.

What is your website address?

scrapaway
