I've been looking for some crafts that I could possibly suggest to you when this particular item caught my eye. It's called the QlockTwo, and what's really nice about it is that really spells out the time for you.
At first sight, you might not think that it is a clock, because it looks like a big block of plastic (or marble, I don't know) engraved with a hundred or so letters. Not until some of the letters light up will you realize that it's actually a clock. I think all of you will agree that it is a nice addition to your bedroom.
But adding it to your bedroom comes at a very high price. Since it's designer product, it will come out with a value of around $1500 per unit. If you're affluent and you think paying that much for something that spells out the time for you is worth it, then go do so. But most people, for sure, cannot afford to pay that much. Heck, I'm better off buying groceries with that much in my bank account instead of purchasing some clock.
So why not just try to creater your very own speller clock? I found this article that talks precisely about how you can make a similar clock on your own. It can get a little tricky because of the circuitry and programming involved, but the article has already laid out some of those firmwares that you can download to make the clock work. You may want to get some help from a friendly technician or programmer if you get really confused. Whatever the hassle may be, I don't think it's near $1500 in value, isn't it? Plus, at the end of the day, you can always modify the clock's design in whatever way you want it to be.
Why pay $1500 for a clock if you can do it on your own? It is not only fun to do. It is way cheaper as well.
