Lustrous Glass Stained Glass

Your name?

Shane Gallagher

Your Location (city, etc)

Dublin

Please give us a short summary of your website?

Lustrous Glass is a stained glass art studio in the middle of Dublin run by Shane Gallagher whose inspiration lies in everyday objects and the diverse beauty of nature.

His vision for Lustrous Glass is to create unique and customised stained glass that will transform your living space and give ample rein to your imagination.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

The intention was to to advertise my business and have a portfolio of my work which is accessible by everybody.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

Eight months ago,the name is WWW.lustrousglass.com

How did you decide on a name for your website?

After looking at numerous glass names we thought that lustrous summed up the feel we were trying to put across and having the word glass in the title also helped the listing.

What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?

Having Black as the background helps and having a simple layout also keeps people interested.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

To keep it as an aid to the business.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

Very well.I get a lot of business through my website.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

Employ somebody full time o web and advertising.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

Probably not..

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

Not being able to understand how to use the web effectively.

What has been your biggest challenge?

Learning about web development.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

By word of mouth.

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

It is a lot more time consuming than i had imagined.

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

Eight months and i intend to keep it up as long as the business continues.

How do you rate having a website as opposed to other forms of advertising?

The website is a cheap ,easily update-able ,easily accessible form of advertising that is permanently out there as opposed to other more costly one off non changeable forms.

What is your website address?
