With the New Year comes new holidays. A lot of people like to use the holidays for some great family fun. A great way to stay close to your kids is to do holiday arts and crafts.
One of the holidays I always look forward to with my son is Valentines Day. Not only because I get to take him to the store and pick out valentines cards for his classmates, but also to make some mailboxes for him to take to school to collect his valentines cards from his friends.
Making these boxes is very simple. Take a shoe box, glue any colored paper to the lid and the bottom, make sure to wrap them separately so they can open the box. Then your kids can decorate it any way they would like. They can draw on it, decorate it with stickers, buttons, feathers, stamps, or anything they want!
Then they cut a slip in the top of the mailbox so thier class mates can slide the valentines day cards and candy inside! Your kids are sure to love this fun project, and you are sure to be proud of their creations!
