When did you start your website and why? June 2006

I love crafts and being envolved in the crafts industry, and I also have a degree in Computer Science. I've always had a dream to put the two together, and my website is now a dream come true.

Please give us a short summary of your website, business model, etc

Our site offers a variety of craft kits and supplies such as Bucilla Needle Arts kits, Donna Dewberry One Stroke Kits, Rubber Stamps, Scrapbooking kits, and other items.

What has been the most difficult part of creating and running your website?

I would say the most difficult part of running my website has been decifering what to do and what not to do in order to be picked up by the large search engines.

What has been the easist past of operating your website?

I'm not sure that there is an easy part. I do enjoy it though.

What was your biggest mistake?

I made a few technical errors in the beginning that caused delays in getting my site up and running.

Who maintains your website and why?

I maintain my site because I enjoy it.

Tell us how your business has benefitted from your website?

Actually my website is my business. I do not have a brick and mortar store.

What are your views on ecommerce and the future of the internet?

It is getting easier and easier to find great deals for almost everything on the internet, so I think that ecommerce will contine to grow.

What are your views on Search Engine Optimization (SEO)?

I think that SEO is extremely important. Right now it is hard to survive unless your site is coming up favorable in the search engines.

What are your views on Search Engines? Have they helped or hindered your website?

They have helped when the Search Engines have my site indexed. But I've been dead in the water when they were not indexing my site.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Buying Adwords at times when shopping networks showcase similar items that I sell.

What method has been least successful for promoting your website?

Passing out business cards.

What would you like to see change with respect to the internet?

Tighter security so that buyers feel a little safer.
