Please give us a short summary of your website?

Homebased handcarved and hand painted wood carvings. we specialize in custom pet reproductions done from customer generated photos. Also tropical and nautical scenes.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

Wanted to extend our services to more people.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

This one in May of this year.

How did you decide on a name for your website?

My daughter chose it

What makes it different from other, similar offerings?

we not only provide a handmade product but an interesting service as well.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

To be able to work on line full time.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

too early in the game to tell yet.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

put more money into the tecnical work done on the site to promote it.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

yes

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

other than initial set up fees. The cost of maintaining the sit without showing a profit yet.

What has been your biggest challenge?

Drawing traffic to the site

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Going to various sites and spreading the word about my site and its services

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

I had not expected to have to wait so long for results.

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

three months, and we intend to stay up at least a year with out significant profits.

What do you get out of this site.

One of the services we provide is to recreate carvings of past pets or pets for gifts. The response we get is very rewarding.
