Name of your website?

Home of Affordable Yarns

Your name?

Jean Furse

Your Location (city, etc)

La Grange KY 40031

Please give us a short summary of your website?

We carry super Mill End yarns, Low priced and suitable for any type of needlework or crafts. We sell them in balls, skeins and on cones for the convenience of our customers. all types of fibers cotton, acrylics, wool, wool blends, chenilles, rayon and combinations that we have designed. We always have a booth at the local Traderbaker Mall in LaGrange KY for those that shop locally.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

I've always been a knitter ad crocheter and my husband recently learned to weave and we found that most yarn stores are way too expensive, so I set about finding yarn that any crafter could afford.

What makes it different from other, similar offerings?

We have quality Mill End yarn to offer, which means that our prices are much lower then the standard yarn sites

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

We would definitely be able to keep up with the demand. We have a family that helps with all of the listings, preparing the merchandise and packing and shipping. It's a reall family venture.

What has been your biggest challenge?

The biggest challenge has been getting the word out about the website. We want everyone to visit and save money

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Word of mouth so far and selling on eBay

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

The site has been available for about 2 years and we do intend to continue it so it will be (hopefully) a retirement income

What is your website address?
